David Lee Martin, Tulsa resident, passed away Monday, February 2, 2026, in Tulsa. He was 85 years old.
David was born on August 5, 1940, in Nuyaka to Dan and Blanche (Lesley) Martin. He graduated from Okmulgee High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army.
On March 30, 1963, David married Julie A. Louallen in California. After returning from military service, David attended Northeastern Oklahoma University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology.
While living in California, David worked for DuPont. Upon returning to Oklahoma, he was employed at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital as a Medical

Technologist and later completed his career at Kelco as a Production Manager.
David’s passion revolved around motorsports. Before leaving for Vietnam, he won the AMA Amateur Professional of the Year Flat Track Award.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Dan Martin and Blanche Collins.
Survivors include his wife, Julie Martin; sons, Mike Martin and wife Catherine and Scott Saran; grandsons, Blake Martin, Lane Martin and wife Taylor and Bradley Rooks and wife Cecilia; and great grandchildren, Kimber Martin, Daniel Rooks and Wayne Rooks.
A private family service will be held.
