Voter registration deadline is Friday for April 7 elections

Friday, March 13, is the last day for eligible residents to apply for voter registration to vote in the April 7 elections.

The April election is a multi-entity election, including the following:

• Henryetta Public Schools, Board of Education Office 1

• Wilson Public Schools, Board of Education Office 1

• Tulsa Tech Center, Board of Education Office 7, Zone 7

• Liberty Public Schools, Board of Education Office 1

• Central Technology Center – Proposition

• Graham-Dustin Public Schools – 2 Propositions Individuals who are United States citizens, residents of Oklahoma, and at least 17½ years old may apply to register to vote. However, voters must be 18 years old by Election Day to cast a ballot.

Paper voter registration applications must be received by the County Election Board or postmarked no later than March 13, 2026. Electronic applications must be submitted by midnight on March 13. Applications submitted after the deadline will be accepted but held and processed after the April 7 election. Applications may also be submitted at any motor vehicle agency that serves as an official voter registration agency by the deadline.

Applicants will receive written notification once their application has been processed. Approved voters will receive a Voter Identification Card by mail. Some applicants may receive a letter explaining why their application was not approved. Anyone who does not receive a response within 15 days of submitting an application should contact the County Election Board as soon as possible.

Only registered voters with an address within the School District are eligible to vote. Please note that having a child enrolled in the school district does not automatically qualify a voter for the school ballot.

Voters are encouraged to verify their registration status, polling place, and sample ballot through the OK Voter Portal at okvoterportal. okelections. gov. If no sample ballot is available, the voter is not eligible to participate in an upcoming election. Voters can call the office to verify their eligibility.

Voters who have moved to Okmulgee County from another county or state must complete a new voter registration application. Those who have moved within the county may update their address online through the OK Voter Portal or by submitting a voter registration application.

Voter registration applications are available online at oklahoma. gov/elections or at the Okmulgee County Election Board office, and at most post offices, tag agencies, and public libraries.

The Okmulgee County Election Board office is located in the Okmulgee County Courthouse, 314 W. 7th Street, Room 102 in Okmulgee, and is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For more information, contact the Okmulgee County Election Board at 918-756-2365 or OkmulgeeCounty@ elections. ok.
