Holiday closures announced

The City of Okmulgee has announced closings for the upcoming holidays.

City Hall offices and Public Works operations will be closed Thursday and Friday, Dec. 25-26, in observance of Christmas.

Emergency service operations, including police and fire departments, will remain operational during the holiday period.

Monday through Wednesday’s residential and commercial polycart routes will run as normal. Thursday’s and Friday’s routes will run one day late, with Friday’s pickup scheduled for Saturday.

The Thursday and Friday, Jan. 1-2, routes will also each run one day late.

Dumpster sanitation services originally scheduled for Thursday and Friday will now run Wednesday, and service for Thursday, Jan. 1, will run Friday, Jan. 2.

Normal city operations are scheduled to resume Monday, Dec. 29.
