A Tulsa man died Tuesday afternoon in a single-vehicle rollover crash on U.S. Highway 75 near 220 Road in Okmulgee County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The fatal collision occurred at 2:17 p.m. on Nov. 18, when 41-year-old Edwuardo Saldivar of Tulsa lost control of his vehicle. Troopers believe the driver was under the influence prior to the crash.
According to the OHP report, the vehicle went off the left side of the roadway before Saldivar overcorrected, causing the vehicle to depart the roadway on the right, strike a guardrail and roll multiple times. Saldivar, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries.
There were no passengers in the vehicle. Next of kin has been notified.
OHP noted that the information released is preliminary and may be subject to change as the investigation continues.
The collision was investigated by Trooper Haden Finley (#375) with Troop B.
