Christmas on the Square 2025

Get ready, Okmulgee … because Christmas is about to get big, bright and absolutely unforgettable downtown this December.

For the first time ever, the Okmulgee Area Chamber of Commerce and Okmulgee Main Street are teaming up to launch Christmas on the Square, a five-day holiday festival that will transform the historic square into a bustling winter wonderland Dec. 3-7. Think sparkling lights, festive music, cozy cottages, cocoa in hand and endless holiday cheer, all right in the heart of downtown.

And here’s the best part: you can be part of the magic.

— Vendors, food trucks needed

Organizers say they still have a few Christmas cottage vendor spots available, and they’re actively searching for more food trucks to help make this first-year celebration as big and bold as Okmulgee deserves.

If you or someone you know crafts or sells any of the following, this is your moment to shine:

• Artwork

• Handmade Goods

• Blown Glass

• Holiday Crafts

• Pottery

• Baked Treats

• Specialty Holiday Gifts

• A Food Truck Full of Deliciousness

• Anything Fund, Festive, Unique or Gift-Worthy Let’s pack the square with incredible local talent! Visitors from across the region are expected, and organizers want our homegrown artisans, makers and small-business stars front and center.

Dates are Dec. 3-7, and the application deadline is Nov. 21. A $250 vendor fee covers all five days.

As a bonus, vendors who also participate in Beggs Jingle Bell Day on Dec. 13 will receive a $50 reimbursement.

Vendor applications are available through the Chamber of Commerce (112 N. Morton Ave.) or by email at executivedirector@okmulgeechamber. org. All forms and fees must be submitted by Nov. 21.

— A Shimmering New Okmulgee Tradition Organizers say the dream is to create a “holiday village” nestled around the courthouse square – a place full of twinkling lights, sweet smells, festive flavors and the kind of small-town charm you can’t buy in big-box stores.

“This is something our community has dreamed about for a long time,” Chamber representatives shared. “It’s time to bring Christmas to downtown Okmulgee in a big way and create a celebration families will look forward to year after year.”

With lights draped from historic buildings, cozy vendor cottages, holiday music drifting through the square and five nights of Christmas cheer, the event aims to become a new tradition for generations to come.

— Festival of Lights Parade joins the celebration As if a brand-new festival weren’t enough, the beloved Okmulgee Main Street Festival of Lights Parade returns Thursday, Dec. 4, at 7 p.m.

Floats, marching bands, glowing displays and festive costumes will roll through downtown – and there’s still room for more parade entries.

Businesses, schools, churches, organizations, clubs and individuals are encouraged to join in.

Registration forms are available through Okmulgee Main Street at director@ okmulgeemainstreet.com or by calling 918-758-1015. Deadline is Nov. 22.

— Let’s Make Magic Together

Whether you’re signing up as a vendor, bringing your food truck, decorating a parade float, volunteering or just bundling up to enjoy the lights, this is your chance to help make history.

Christmas on the Square is more than an event – it’s Okmulgee’s newest holiday tradition in the making.

Let’s show the region what happens when our community comes together: • Lights Get Brighter

• Music Gets Merrier

• Vendors Thrive

• Memories Multiply

• And the Whole Town Shines Tag your favorite vendors. Share the news. Spread the cheer.

Christmas is coming to downtown Okmulgee – and you can be part of the magic.
