As the country faces an ongoing state of emergency, two local organizations are stepping up to provide essential support to those in dire need. The Dunbar All-School Center (old Banneker) and New Salem Baptist Church have partnered to launch a community assistance program called “Bean Dinners.”
The initiative aims to meet the needs of the community by offering a comforting, free meal. The dinners will feature delicious brown and white beans, along with sweet cornbread.
