The spirit of Bulldog Pride will be on full display this Friday as Okmulgee Public Schools hosts its 2025 Homecoming celebration. With the crowning ceremony, pep assembly, ribbon cutting and a parade planned, students, alumni and community members are invited to take part in a full day of festivities culminating at the newly renovated historic Harmon Field.

Homecoming isn’t just for students. Alumni and the entire community are invited to participate in several special events throughout the week, including a block party Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Brock Gym parking lot. Music, games, food vendors and reunions await as families and former Bulldogs come together for a night of fun and fellowship.
On Friday, Homecoming Day kicks off with a district- wide pep assembly at 9 a.m. at Harmon Field, where students from across all Okmulgee school sites will gather. As part of the morning celebration, a special ribbon cutting ceremony will highlight the long-awaited renovations to historic Harmon Stadium. Community members, district leaders, local alumni including the Class of 1975 celebrating their 50th anniversary, and Bulldog supporters are warmly invited to attend and witness this milestone event.
At 4 p.m., the community will take to the streets of downtown Okmulgee for the annual Homecoming Parade. Expect a vibrant display of school spirit, marching bands, floats, class representatives, alumni groups and spirited fans cheering the Bulldogs.

The highlight of the evening will take place at Harmon Field, where the 2025 Homecoming Queen and her court will be crowned during halftime of the Bulldogs’ football game vs. the Roland Rangers. The game begins at 7 p.m., with all eyes on the field for both the crowning moment and a key matchup for the Okmulgee Bulldogs.

Don your black and red, and come out to celebrate tradition, achievement and community as Okmulgee unites for one of the most anticipated events of the school year. Downtown merchants are also encouraged to display your Bulldog flags on Friday as the parade makes its way from Brock Gymnasium down 6th Street.
