Green Country Technology Center (GCTC) is partnering with Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) to host a “Wicked Good Donors” Blood Drive on Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Seminar Center, located in the Main Building on campus.
The event is open to the public, and walk-ins are welcome. Donors will receive a special glow-in-thedark t-shirt; while supplies last.
“Hosting this blood drive is just one way GCTC can support our community beyond the classroom,” Anthony Nieto, Marketing & Communications Coordinator at GCTC, said. “We’re encouraging not only our students and staff but also our neighbors across Okmulgee County to come out and give the gift of life. Every donation makes a difference.”
Ms. Jami Lympany, Director of Adult Health at GCTC, emphasized the importance of the event: “Health careers are at the heart of what we do here, and we see firsthand how critical blood donations are for patients in need. This drive is a perfect opportunity to show our students the impact of community service while meeting a vital healthcare need.”
Donors can schedule an appointment by calling 877-3408777 or by visiting obi.org, but walk-ins will be gladly accepted.
