The Okmulgee County Board of County Commissioners met Monday morning at the courthouse, addressing a full slate of agenda items with several key approvals.
Commissioners unanimously approved the minutes from the Aug. 11 and Aug. 13 meetings.
District 3 received approval for purchase orders including O’Reilly’s ($500), Burnett’s ($400), RPI ($500), Stewart Martin ($700) and Cintas ($900). District 2 was approved for Cintas ($700) and District 1 for S&H.
The board approved multiple new full-time and part-time employee forms. New full-time employees include Ashley Heath, John Graham, Michelle Fugate, Pedro Aquino, Mariah Strauss, Ashley Van Meter, Stephanie Keaton and Marie Edmonds. Part-time employees approved were Jessica Keen, Emily Miller and Samantha Patrick. A utility permit for District 1 with Rural Water District 7 was approved.
Commissioners passed a resolution authorizing disposal of surplus equipment, including a 2008 tractor and a rotary mower from District 3.
All three districts approved participation in the County Road Machinery & Equipment Fund, which allows the county to apply for road graders. The average cost for a grader is about $380,000.
The board unanimously adopted a resolution creating an Employee Recognition Program, noting it was required by state statute.
Commissioners tabled a motion for repairs at the Okmulgee County Fairgrounds, as they await a list of items that need repaired.
The agenda item concerning rollover of remaining funds was also tabled for later discussion.
Emergency Management Direct Jeffrey Moore briefly reported that area agencies spent the majority of last week in the search for a missing woman.
No executive session was needed at Monday’s session.
