Wilma Brown

Wilma Elizabeth Brown, a beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, at the age of 83 in Broken Arrow. Born on June 22, 1942, in Okmulgee, she was the cherished daughter of Ervin Floyd Lee and Letha Mae (Choate) Fyffe. She attended Okmulgee Schools.

For over 15 years, Wilma worked as a nurse at her brotherin- law’s, Dr. James E. Swann, private medical practice in Independence, Mo. She later worked for Dr. Jennings in Okmulgee.

Wilma married Robert Gene Brown in Las Vegas, and together, they shared 39 wonderful years filled with love and laughter, returning to Okmulgee in 1999.

Wilma was a woman of many passions. She found joy in baking delicious treats for her family, styling hair for friends and loved ones, and curating her treasured collection of crystal china cups and saucers. Her love for Coca-Cola was wellknown, and she took pride in her extensive collection. A longtime member of Cornerstone Foursquare Church in Okmulgee, Wilma’s faith was a guiding light in her life, and she cherished the community she found there.

Wilma is preceded in death by her parents, Ervin Lee and Letha Mae Fyffe; her beloved husband, Robert; her siblings, Betty Jean Olsen, Billy Ray Lee, John Lee and infant siblings, her 2 1/2 year old infant son, Ric Allen Fortner and her daughters, June 22, 1942 – July 18, 2025

Linda Peck and Beverly Wilburn, as well as her son, Bobby Brown.

She is survived by her sons, Michael D. Kellogg and wife Stephanie, and Kelly Don Kellogg and wife Tina Marie, her brother, Donald Lee and wife Sylvia, sister-in-law, Barbara Lee, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry on her legacy of love and kindness.

Viewing will be held Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home.

A funeral service to honor Wilma’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 28, 2025, at Cornerstone Foursquare Church in Okmulgee, with Pastor Mickey Baldwin officiating. Interment will follow at Okmulgee Cemetery. Serving as casket bearers will be Grant Huddleston, John Peck, Brad Dame, David Galbraith III, Michael Kellogg, Nick Kellogg and Jeremy Kellogg.
