Kristy LeAnn Ryan

Kristy LeAnn Ryan was born February 9, 1963, in Cushing to the late James E. and Leta Willine (Gaston) Ryan. She passed away Friday, July 18, 2025, in Okmulgee at 62 years of age.

Kristy grew up in Okmulgee and graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1981. She graduated from Brown’s University and began her career as a court reporter in Stilwell. Kristy later started working in Sapulpa. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, gardening and cooking for her kids. She loved a cold Pepsi. Kristy was a people person who loved to interact with others. She could be found playing bingo on most Tuesday evenings.

Kristy was preceded in death by her parents and a cousin, Bucky Cooper.

She was the proud mom of Whitley Grimmett and Jacob Grimmett. Survivors also include her siblings, Stacey Ryan-James and husband Buddy and Pat Ryan; nephews, Patrick Ryan II and Christopher Ryan; cousins, Linda and Lyle Testermant, February 9, 1963 – July 18, 2025

Eddie and Carailee Testermant and Deannie Cooper; her dogs, Tiny and Daisy; and numerous friends including Toni Beaver.

Viewing will be held from 1-6 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Clearview Baptist Church in Okmulgee, with Rev. Randy Mathews officiating. Interment will follow at Okmulgee Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mc-Clendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Memories, condolences, photos and videos may be shared with the family on Kristy’s Tribute Page at www.mcclendon- winters.com.
