Harlan Ford Car Show rolls into town June 28

Car enthusiasts, families and community members alike will have plenty to look forward to later this month, as Harlan Ford gears up for its 9th Annual Car Show on Saturday, June 28. Set to take place at 830 Fairgrounds Rd. in Okmulgee, the event promises a full day of classic cars, food, music and family fun – and it’s all free to attend.

Check-in for the event begins bright and early at 8 a.m., with judging officially starting at 10 a.m. Whether you’re showcasing a restored vintage ride or just coming to admire the chrome and craftsmanship, this event has something for everyone.

One of the highlights of the show will be live music from Grazzhopper, bringing high-energy tunes to keep the crowd entertained throughout the day.

Attendees can also enjoy a wide range of food truck options, including:

• Coffee with Coffee Gate

• Snow cones from Brite Carnival Treats

• Fry Daddy’s classic favorites

• Bear’s Kitchen from Muskogee serving up BBQ

• Turps Beef Jerky Registered car owners – regardless of make, model or motorcycle – will receive a food voucher to use at one of the vendors onsite.

Kids and families will have plenty to do thanks to balloon artists, face painters and a caricature artist, as well as a cake walk fundraiser hosted by the Rotary Club.

Special attractions include a chance to see the Woods Brothers Nascar, as well as participate in the Okmulgee County Humane Society’s pet adoption drive. Visitors can also purchase t-shirts, take part in raffle drawings and browse other surprises planned throughout the day.

In a show of community support, all proceeds from the event will go toward the Okmulgee Community Garden, helping to fund local agricultural and educational initiatives.

There is no entry fee for participants or spectators, making this event an accessible way to enjoy Okmulgee’s vibrant community spirit and passion for classic cars.

The show is co-sponsored by Western Sun Federal Credit Union, with community engagement and giving back at the heart of the event’s mission.

For more information or to enter a vehicle, call 918-756-3673 or visit the Harlan Ford Facebook page for updates and entry forms.

Whether you’re a lifelong gear-head or just looking for a fun summer outing, the 9th Annual Harlan Ford Car Show is a can’t-miss celebration of cars, community and charity in Okmulgee.
