Okmulgee County resident Lisa Watson will represent Oklahoma’s rich heritage and attraction on the National stage soon.
As Ms. Oklahoma Tourism 2023-24, Watson has been able to travel the great state of Oklahoma and see what many fantastic tourism attractions the state has to offer.
“Now the hard part; I need a little help making sure I safely get to nationals,” Watson stated in a post. “National fees are paid for (the largest fee) and now I just have room and airfare left. If you’d like to help me get to Nashville, Tenn. in July and bring home a National Tourism Title and crown, please consider donating and helping me reach my goal. I promise to make Oklahoma proud and as always thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love and support.”
The Miss Tourism Pageant is a humanitarian, community outreach event that shares kindness and smiles.
Watson has set up a GoFundMe account to aid in her journey.
The Henryetta resident has been busy supporting various causes in the area, including Veterans, and those wishing to help make a change and difference in not only their lives, but their community.
“Making a decision to become a Tourism Girl has become a life changing role. I may have not met many of you, but I’m in your corner rooting for you. I’m in the back clapping for you … keep your head up and keep shining bright like the diamond that you are! We all have survived our worst days! We’ve got this and each other and remember to reach out to one another.”
