Beggs Movies on Main returns

Beggs Movies on Main returns

Free event begins Saturday

Movies on Main returns this weekend to Beggs, with an exciting lineup of free movies for the community.

Last year, Summer Lamborn of Kanokie Coffehouse had the west wall of her business painted so it could be used as a movie screen, and the community was treated to several movies during the summer.

Beginning this Saturday, and every other Saturday, there will be movies shown in the parking lot between NAPA and Kanokie Coffeehouse, 116 E. Main.

Movies begin at sundown and attendees are urged to bring a lawn chair and enjoy an evening under the stars with the stars!

We want this to be even bigger and better than last year, so make your plans now!

All movies are completely free to the public, thanks to all the movie sponsors. There is a high cost associated with legally show- ing a public film and a big thanks goes out to those who have made the events possible.

The movie screen area has been increased by an additional six feet, along with a mural wall, completed by Artist Kelly Pierce-Howell and Dragonfly Ink Designs LLC.

There will be drinks available along with food trucks on site to serve the community.

Here is the movie lineup and the sponsors:

• May 20 – “Lyle, Lyle Crocodile” sponsored by YeeHaw Sisters & Stuckey Hauling

• June 3 – “DC League of Super Pets” sponsored by Bynum Veterinary Clinic and Grooming by Nikki

• June 17 – “Family Camp” sponsored by Beggs Area Chamber of Commerce

• July 1 – “Million Dollar Arm” sponsored by American Heritage Bank

• July 15 – “Sonic the Hedgehog” sponsored by Buz and Lena Henson • July 29 – “I Wanna Dance with Somebody” sponsored by CliniCo Rural Health Clinic.

• August 12 – “High School Musical” sponsored by Kanokie Coffeehouse.

Special recognition goes out to the following: • Kelly Pierce-Howell of Dragonfly Ink Designs llc. who donated her time and talent to make this gorgeous mural.

• Jon And Elizabeth Shaffer – Thank you again and again for allowing the painting on the side of their buildings. Movies on Main wouldn’t be possible without them.

• YeeHaw Sister’s Salon and Boutique kicked off the sponsorship of the first movie of the year.

• Kristi Christy & Christy Family Dentistry – Sponsor of free nachos for the kick off movie night.
