Tuesday’s Okmulgee Lions Club program was presented by one of our own newer Lions members, Lane Pilkington of Schaudt’s Funeral Services, on one of Okmulgee’s newest organizations, the Okmulgee Young Professionals. And who could not miss the opportunity to insert the old-familiar-pun, he’d be the last to let you down. But there is more truth than story in the pun if you’re talking about Lion Pilkington because, not only in his business life, but also in his daily personal life. I have known his family for many, many, many years.
Wilson Public Schools recently lost one of their own due to COVID-19 and honored him Wednesday with a bus dedication. Wilson “Junior” King had been a bus driver for WPS for years after retiring from the Union Pacific railroad in 2016.
One of the most awesome things that a person can ever experience is for the God of Heaven to hear and answer our prayers. I have no idea what I would do if God did not answer my prayers. Answered prayer is the reality for every child of God who is in fellowship with and right with Him.
