Henryetta summer tennis lessons take off

Entering week two, Henryetta Public Schools continues to offer tennis lessons for 4th through 12th grade Monday to Wednesday at the Henryetta City Tennis Courts, located at 12th and Main. Henryetta Tennis Coach Dustin Mosco will host three separate sessions, divided by age, for a four week period. Tennis lessons are expected to continue until July 8. Players will have the ability to improve upon their tennis game.

Jandebeur’s Motor Sports Park hosts youth summer camps

The first week of the 9th Annual Youth Summer MX Camp passed with riders enjoying several activities at Jandebeur’s Motor Sports Park. Summer camp participants, pictured above, drive around the outdoor courses hosted at the park after enjoying a morning filled with physical fitness, bike prep, riding skills field events and adventure hikes. Jandebeur’s is set to host two more weeks of the Youth Summer MX Camp on June 29 to July 2 and on July 20-23. Lunch and drinks are provided and sessions last from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Morris graduate Ashlyn Baldridge named to ONASA Golf Team

Morris graduate Ashlyn Baldridge was selected for the Oklahoma Native All-State Association’s 2020 All-State Golf team. Baldridge is a member of the Muscogee Creek Nation. Though Baldridge didn’t close out her senior year on the field due to COVID-19, she ended with a bang her junior year. She qualified for the 2019 State Tournament where she placed 54th with a final score of 210. The first day Baldridge earned a 108 final score before closing out the two-day tournament with a 102 day for her combined score of 210.

MCN debuts new look for TCL Drillers

The iconic blue of the Tulsa Drillers is taking the backseat for the 2020 season. Tulsa’s new Texas Collegiate Baseball League team, the TCL Drillers, is donning a new look inspired by the Muscogee (Creek) Nation (MCN). Unlike, their Double-A counterparts, the TCL Drillers, which are set to begin their season on June 30, will be wearing blue and “battle” red with Tvlse script across the front.
