Pet Pals
By Patrick Ford

Okmulgee County Humane Society

We would like to draw your attention to the four dogs in the Okmulgee City Shelter currently under OCHS care:  Scrunchie, Camo, Grady, and Hector. Each one is available for a rescue, foster, or adopter.

Scrunchie is a precious one year old female Shar Pei Mix weighing about 30 pounds.  She is calm, affectionate, and immediately fell into the pet beds in the lobby.  Scrunchie loves the toys, especially the hidden cellophane and squeaky noises.

Camo is one year old male and craves love and attention. Camo’s striking brindle coat hints at his unique personality, embodying a blend of strength and gentleness. He’s not just a pup seeking a home; he’s a companion eager to share his affection and loyalty with a loving family.  He is very sweet, cool, calm, and collected while he waits for his next forever home.

Grady is a beautiful and wonderful Coon Hound Mix male.  He is good with humans and other dogs.  He would love to run with a family and have a job to do.  Grady is unsure of his role in captivity at the city shelter.  He remains as sweet as the day he arrived.

Hector is always alert with his ears perked up high.  With one blue eye and one brown eye, he is pretty special.  He’s always happy to see a human and seems to do well when the other dogs come to visit him at his kennel gate.

To meet Scrunchie, Camo, Grady, or Hector please a submit an application on our website.  We will review and respond.

Fostering is 100% free. We provide you with the food, health care, toys and other necessities, and you just provide them with ample love. As our organization is 100% foster-based, we must have fosters, or adoptions, to save animals from the City of Okmulgee animal shelter and from euthanasia risk. Our foster homes are totally “paw-some,” they’re the cat’s meow! Thank you for opening your heart and home and for applying to foster! https://www.okmulgeehumane.org/foster.html

To adopt your forever pet:  https://www.okmulgeehumane.org/adopt.html
