The City of Okmulgee wishes America, the greatest country in the world, a Happy Birthday with a wonderful FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA
By Joshua

Kenneth Anderson, Emergency Management Director and Licensed Pyro Technician announced that the City of Okmulgee Fireworks Extravaganza will be held Tuesday, July 4, 2024 at the Okmulgee Municipal Park and said, “We look forward to a real show-stopper display. We will be shooting over 1,000 shells and choreographed to 6 songs.” Hopefully everyone will bring their families out to experience the fireworks and enjoy the park. Anderson added, “As always, you cannot shoot personal fireworks in the park.”

Just a reminder that there will be food vendors in the park for your enjoyment beginning at

7:00 pm: Hot Dogs, Chips and Pop from the Knights of Columbus, Raven Rock Pizza, Antonio’s Fried Fish, Jack’s Ice Cream, Coffee Gait and Frost Bites & Java Delights. We also will be featuring Lance Gouge and his band with great music starting at 7:00 pm so you can come out early to eat and enjoy the music and celebrate with your family before the fireworks show begins at 10:00 pm. There also will be 2 water slides provided by the Fraternal Order of Police #96 to entertain and cool off the kids. Brenda Mann will be in the park, handing out fun stuff to the children.

We know that you can see the Fireworks Display all over the city, however, there is nothing compared to watching, hearing and feeling the wonderful show at the park. But if you are unable to attend, you can watch online @ FB.COM/NEALSHOMESTORE. It will also be broadcasted Live on 88.3 for the surrounding area around the Okmulgee Municipal Park.

This is one of the biggest shows in the area, thanks to Okmulgee City Council and the generosity of the sponsors of the show which include, CP Kelco,, Fraternal Order of Police #96,, First Family Federal Credit Union, Stewart Martin Kubota, El Avocado Mexican Restaurant, Fred Harlan Ford, Neals Homestore, Anchor Financial, McClendon-Winters Funeral Home, El Tapatio Mexican Grill, Miss Mary’s Market, The Rodeo, Mabrey Bank, Flooring Liquidators, Greg Marriot, CPA, Just Dirt, State Farm Insurance Agents, Walter’s Real Estate, Priegel Homeland Ins., Gibson Tax Service and Domino’s Pizza.
