LaVeda June Brill, 82-year-old lifelong Morris resident, passed away Monday evening, June 15, 2020, at her home. She was born to Cecil Eldridge Vaughan and Elizabeth (Hunter) Vaughan in Morris, on February 19, 1938. She married Donald Brill on August 14, 1954, in Morris. LaVeda enjoyed cross stitching, cooking, baking, quilting, and she loved to play the piano. LaVeda was a member of the Morris United Pentecost Church. She worked for many years at the Cattleman’s Café and M & L Water District.
Elizabeth Ann Johnson (Sally), was born July 18, 1942, in Arcadia, to the late J.W. Riggs and Nettie Young. Sally passed away at her home with family by her side on Sunday, June 7, 2020, at the age of 77.
Daryl Joe Saunders, a resident of Tulsa, died June 12, 2020, at the age of 62. He was born August 23, 1957, in Henryetta to Homer and Margie (Kennedy) Saunders. Joe was a member of the Wilson Baptist Church.
Leo Mather Sant was born in Grace, Idaho, on August 27, 1921, to Alfred and Ethel Sant. He died peacefully at his home in Salt Lake City on June 14, 2020, from causes incident to age. Leo grew up in Grace, Idaho, and attended Idaho State University’s College of Pharmacy. He joined the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1943, becoming a pilot and serving in the European Theater for the duration of the war. In 1946, he became a commercial airline pilot with Pan American Airways and loved a career in aviation until retiring in 1981. He and his wife, Maralynn, raised their four daughters in Los Altos, Calif. Leo was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was known by his family and many friends as a kind, loving and generous man who influenced people for good, wherever he went. He was a true gentleman.
Franklin James Thompson, 74, a resident of Checotah, died Monday, June 8, 2020, in Muskogee. He was born May 28, 1946. to Clinton James and Cora Mae (Roberts) Thompson in Hoffman.
