Glenda Fay James

January 7, 1950 - March 21, 2020

Glenda Fay James passed from this earth on to her heavenly home Saturday morning March 21, 2020. She was born January 7, 1950 in Broken Arrow to Connie and Elizabeth (Ray) McCaslin of Mounds. Glenda was married to Page Arthur James on January 29, 1966. They had three children.

Glenda had many interests throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time with all her family and friends living and laughing, and having fun. She loved traveling, crafting, sewing and playing games. She also loved attending church and loved her church family. Glenda worked hard all her life. Most recently, she had a baking business out of her home where she made cakes and cookies and other goods. This was her passion and her love for this showed in her work. Prior to that, she worked at Preston Public School as a cook for 11 years. Many children attended Preston school that she fondly remembered after she retired in 2011. Prior to that, she worked at the Coca-Cola Bottling Company as a Lab Technician for 20+ years. Glenda also worked for the Rebold Manor nursing home for 20+ years.

Glenda is preceded in death by her husband Page Arthur James; her mother and father Connie and Elizabeth (Ray) McCaslin; a brother Bobby Joe McCaslin; and a great granddaughter Lily Renee James.

Survivors include a son, James Vincent James and wife Sheila (Hardison) James and their children Hannah James, Adam Vincent James and wife Stephanie (Diamond) James, and their children Aidyn Vincent Diamond and Harley Dean James. A daughter, Paula Jean Cash and husband Darrell Wayne Cash (deceased) and their two children Brittni Paige Cash and Cody Dean Cash and wife Emily (Cooper) Cash and their children Aurora Bella and Nora Faye Cash. Another daughter, Julie Ann Norem and husband Grant Arthur Norem their children Garrett David and Natalie Page Norem. Surviving also are her brothers and sister Willie McCaslin, Darrel McCaslin, Cecil McCaslin, and Teresa (McCaslin) Sparks. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family members that all were all so special to her.

Viewing will be Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Lenoard Marker Funeral home from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, March 26, 2020, at Preston First Baptist Church in Preston, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Grant Family cemetery in Liberty Mounds.
