The Morris City Council and Public Works Authority covered a small agenda during their session last week.
The annual Scare on the Square event will be much different this year.
A food giveaway was held Monday at Okmulgee First Free Will Baptist Church. Pastor Chet Cottom and members of his congregation received assistance from several other churches in the area to help distribute over 400 boxes of meat, dairy and produce to the community. There were almost 30 volunteers involved in the successful giveaway, several from First Baptist Church of Preston who held several events during the summer as part of the Food for Families distribution program. Another giveaway is possible in the near future, according to Pastor Cottom. PATRICK FORD
