Stolen credit card used to make purchases
A Morris couple has been jailed after they used a stolen credit card to make purchases.
Brandon Stuard, 38 and Tracey Stuard, 34 were arrested Nov. 29 by Morris police on numerous complaints.
On Nov. 20, a customer went to the EZ Mart in Morris and used a credit card to make a purchase. However, the individual left the card at the store.
The clerk, identified as Tracey Stuard, allegedly took the card and gave it to her husband.
Records show two transactions were made at the EZ Mart, and then used in Okmulgee at two separate locations.
During the investigation, the court affidavit stated the police also saw the clerk give Brandon Stuard lottery tickets. However, no money transaction was made.
Tracey Stuard was jailed on complaints of Embezzlement (from store and Oklahoma Lottery Commission), Unlawful Use of Credit Card, Larceny of Lost Property and Conspiracy to Commit Felony. She is being held on a $20,000 bond.
Brandon Stuard is being held on complaints of Unlawful Use of Credit Card, Larceny of Lost Property and Conspiracy to Commit Felony. His bond is set at $15,000.
The couple is being held in the Okmulgee County Jail facing a Dec. 13 initial appearance at 2 p.m. in Okmulgee County district court.
