Fun evening being Planned for Nov. 30 Chamber Banquet
A week’s stay in a lovely condo on the beach in Destin, Fla.; a two-night stay in the plush River Spirit hotel; and tickets to one of the December performances at Paradise Cove; a beautiful color photo by renowned writer and photographer Susan Penn Dragoo - these are just some of the items up for auction at the Chamber’s annual banquet Friday, Nov. 30 at the Community Center.
“It’s going to be a fun evening, and we’re looking forward to it,” Chamber Executive Director Kay Rabbitt- Brower said. “We have some great auction items, along with a delicious meal, and we’re going to recognize and honor some of our Chamber members. We’re also hosting a murder mystery, which will be lots of fun! Someone WILL die and we all have to figure out ‘whodunit’!”
Rabbitt-Brower said the Chamber has been collecting donated auction items for several weeks and they are all impressive.
“We have a variety of baskets that include coffee, chocolate, and wine, along with a large framed woodland scene, a hand-made item using wood from the Grand Old Post Office, and a family gift certificate from Jandebeur’s. Some of these will be silent auction items, while others will be in the live auction,” she said. There will also be a wine pull, and a signature drink created just for the banquet.
Cocktails are at 5:30 and the banquet begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person, or $360 for a table of eight, and can be purchased at the Chamber office at 112 N. Morton Ave.
“The banquet is the Chamber’s opportunity to recognize and thank our members, and it’s going to be a fun evening, so we invite everyone to come and join us,” Rabbitt-Brower aid.
Anyone with questions regarding the banquet is encouraged to call the Chamber at 918-756-6172 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
