What a mighty and precious promise God gives us in Jeremiah 33! Verse 3 assures us, “Call unto Me, and I will answer thee.” However, as with many Bible promises, we have found over the past few weeks that there are conditions of answered prayer.
Tuesday’s Okmulgee Lions Club program was presented by one of our own newer Lions members, Lane Pilkington of Schaudt’s Funeral Services, on one of Okmulgee’s newest organizations, the Okmulgee Young Professionals. And who could not miss the opportunity to insert the old-familiar-pun, he’d be the last to let you down. But there is more truth than story in the pun if you’re talking about Lion Pilkington because, not only in his business life, but also in his daily personal life. I have known his family for many, many, many years.
