Janice Franklin, in her 59th year, left this life for a life eternal on Thursday morning, November 30, 2017, from Okmulgee.

Services will be Saturday, December 9, 2017, at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Baptist Church in Okmulgee.

James Clifton Clayton

 March 28, 1963 - December 4, 2017

James Clifton "Cliff" Clayton passed away Monday morning, December 4, 2017, at his home.  He was 54 years old.  Cliff was born to the late Buddy and Olive (Brewer) Clayton in Bakersfield, Calif. on Thursday, March 28, 1963.

Cliff enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping were some of his favorite things to do.  In his early years, he built hot rod cars. Cliff had a love for dogs and dogs had a love for him. He owned five. Cliff's pride and joy were his four granddaughters.

Betty Javene Davidson

Betty Javene Davidson passed away during the afternoon hours of November 23, 2017. At the time of her passing, Betty was 92 years of age and residing at Rebold Manor, Okmulgee. 

Betty lived a full life and often expressed in both word and action her desire to be known as a “plain old country girl”. She was born to Earl Richard and Vera Smith in Chanute, Kansas on December 3, 1924, and raised as the only child on a family farm just west of town. Growing up during the Dust Bowl days, Betty learned simple living and hard work, values which she reflected often throughout her life.

Oscar Howard Humphrey, 61, died Tuesday, November 14, 2017, in Okmulgee. Visitation will be Friday November 24, 2017, from 1-6 p.m. at the Biglow Funeral Directors Okmulgee Chapel.

Services will be held Saturday, November 25, 2017, at First Baptist Church,  311 W 5th St, Okmulgee, at 10 a.m.

George Jones, Jr.


March 21, 1952 - November 18, 2017

George Melvin "Lee" Jones, Jr. passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at the age of 65 in Morris. Lee was born to the late George Melvin Jones and Dolores (Young) Rose in Fresno, Calif. on Friday, March 21, 1952. 

Lee joined the United States Army in 1969 and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1972. He was always up for learning new things. Lee had a garden growing grapes to start his very own wine vineyard. He enjoyed working on electronics and writing software. He loved to communicate on his two meter radio that would broad cast around the world. On warm, sunny days Lee would take his motorcycle out for a joyride and go out to play on his tractor. What he loved most was spending time with his grandkids, whether it was taking them on a trip in his travel trailer or playing video games. 


Samuel Chupco


September 25, 1947 - November 20, 2017

Samuel Don Chupco passed away on November 20, 2017, in Glenpool, at the age of 70. Sammy was born on Thursday, September 25, 1947, in Oklahoma City, to the late Samuel Barney Chupco and Ruby Willadean (Dodson) Chupco.

Sammy graduated from Sequoyah High School and went onto Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kansas and then later attended SMU school of Theology. He married Joann (Peters) on October 30, 1969, in Tulsa. Sammy enjoyed listening to music, going out to eat, and going for drives. When he was younger he loved playing pool. Sammy was a silk screen printer. He was a pastor for thirty two years at the Jay Indian Methodist Church, Mutteluke Indian United Methodist Church, Newtown, and Tallahassee. Sammy loved most spending time with his grandkids, taking them places and going fishing

Viewing and visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, November 19, 2017, at Schaudt's Okmulgee Funeral Service. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2017, at Wewoka Indian Baptist Church, with Pastor Curtis Denny officating. Burial will follow at the Buck Family Cemetery.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Schulter Baptist Church with Rev Mike O'dell & Rev. Phil Barton officiating. Interment will follow in New Sonora Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.

Betty Jane Little


December 10, 1934 - November 3, 2017

Betty Jane Little, 82, of Beggs, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017, in Tulsa. 

Betty was born in Wilson, Ark. on December 10, 1934, a daughter of the late Lottie Mae (Delancey) Crow and Henry Dellie Alexander.

She was a member of Compass Assembly of God in Okmulgee, and worked as a Delivery Driver at Dick Bailey’s car dealership for many years.

Betty was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary; who was a loving person that enjoyed taking care of others. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She liked traveling all over the country and enjoyed yard sales and swap meets.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Charles Yancey and Samuel Little; brothers Henry, Charles; sisters, Juanita, Genny; and a great-grandson, CJ.
