Charles ‘Leon’ Crain


September 7, 1938 - February 20, 2018

Charles “Leon” Crain, a 79-year-old Prague resident, died Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at OSU Medical Center in Tulsa. 

 He was born September 7, 1938, in Tulsa to the late Eugene Ralph and Flossie Norine (Pennington) Crain. When Leon was younger he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going camping. He liked going dancing. Leon and his sister Carolyn would play cards together. He also played dominos.  

Leon served his country in the U.S. Army and was retired from the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bob Crain; and  sister, Mary Ellen Hanson.

Graveside services for James L. Baldridge will be held Thursday, February 22, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Okfuskee Cemetery.

James L. Baldridge was born February 6, 1941, in Okemah to Alfred and Evelyn Baldridge.  

He passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018, at his home near Okemah at the age of 77.

James was a resident of California for over 40 years before returning to the Okemah area in 1995. 

 On June 30, 1961, he married Thelma Jean Nichols.  He was a retired union carpenter working in industrial carpentry.  He enjoyed raising cattle, hunting and fishing.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie Baldridge; his parents; and one daughter, Cheryl Baldridge.

Services were held for Virgina Ann (Micco) Plenge Tuesday at 2 p.m. Plenge died Friday, February 16, 2018, in Tulsa at the age of 61. Services were under the direction of the Integrity Funeral Service.


Robert Dale Sullins


August 16, 1936 - February 3, 2018

Robert Dale Sullins, a resident of Henryetta, passed from this life on Saturday, February 3, 2018, in Henryetta at the age of 81. He was born on August 16, 1936, in Sayre, to Jesse Edward Sullin and Norma (Powers) Sullin.

 Dale attended school at Eram and Liberty Morris. Dale served two years in the Marine Corps.  He and Sue had four children; Wayne, Russell, Ricky and Sheryl.  All preceded him in death. He had one grandson Yohan Dussuet of Colorado Springs, Colo.

 Dale came from a large family of fourteen children total.  There are three girls and three boys remaining. 

 Memorial services will be held a the Church of Christ at 5th and Broadway in Henryetta March 3, 2018, at 2 p.m.

 Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.

Tommy Edwin Puckett

June 26, 1941- February 14, 2018

Tommy Edwin Puckett died on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, in his Weleetka home at the age of 76. 

Viewing will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018, at Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta. 

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 17, 2018, at 2 p.m. at the Weleetka First Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Black officiating and Rev. Dewayne Davis assisting. Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Weleetka. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Services. 



Norman Ray King

Norman Ray King

February 20, 1948 – February 9, 2018

 Norman Ray King, lifelong Morris area resident, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Ray was 69 years of age.  He was born February 20, 1948, in Boynton to the late Raymond and Opal Grace (Naumann) King.  He graduated from Morris High School.  Ray married his best friend, Judith Lynne Sanders, on October 14, 1965, at the Morris United Methodist Church. They cherished the time they worked together when he was a Crop Insurance Adjuster. Ray loved farming and being with his family. He enjoyed gardening, woodcrafts and being outdoors. He was a member of the Morris United Methodist Church, Methodist Men, Past President of the Peanut Growers Association and Morris Area Farmers. Ray will be remembered for his love for others and that he always strived to do what was right. He was a loving husband and father who will be greatly missed.

Bill Lee

Bill Lee, age 70, passed away on February 7, 2018, at his home in Morris.

Billie Ray Lee was born November 6, 1947, in Okmulgee to Burlie and Blanche Lee. 

He graduated from Morris High School and then attended OSUIT where he received his Air Conditioning and Refrigeration certification.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Tom and Charles Lee.

Bill loved time spent with his family. Any get-together or camping event was a stage for Bill's pranks and laughter. Many reaped the bounty of his gardening skill and expertise in tractor maintenance.


Clifford Thomas ‘Tom’ Brock

May 21, 1944 - February 4, 2018

 Clifford Thomas “Tom” Brock passed away Sunday, February 4, 2018, at his Tulsa residence.  He was 73 years of age.  Tom was born May 21, 1944, to Clifford Harrison and Helen (Thomas) Brock.  He was a 1962 graduate of Okmulgee High School where he played football and golf and was known as “Breakaway Brock”.  Tom later graduated from OSU Tech.  He served his country in the United States Air Force during Vietnam War, serving in Thailand.  He began his career with Explorer Pipeline, worked for PVC and retired from OCV.  He was an avid and accomplished fast pitch softball player, loved watching and playing golf, shooting pool and enjoyed dancing. Tom will be remembered by his generous and kindhearted ways.

He was preceded in death by his father and his infant twin brother.

Teresa Michelle (Goodson) Roberson died on Sunday, February 4, 2018, in Henryetta at the age of 50. 

The family has designated Alzheimers Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., 17th floor, Chicago, IL 60601-7633 as appropriate for memorial contributions. 

A memorial service for Roberson will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Integrity Chapel in Henryetta. Her remains will be buried at a later date at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta. Cremation and service arrangements have been entrusted to Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.

Janet Ruth Brian


 April 14, 1933- February 3, 2018

 Janet Ruth Brian died peacefully on February 3, 2018, in Tulsa. She was 84.

Jan was born on April 14, 1933, in Kankakee, Ill., to her parents McKinley and Clara Hayden. 

Because of her love for others, she chose her profession in nursing and remained a nurse for 40 years. She married Michael Brian in 1963. The Brian's moved to the Dallas area in 1965, and moved back to Okmulgee in 1994. After retiring, she dedicated her time to her family and the Presbyterian Church. Especially enjoying her time in the choir and as an elder.

A beloved woman born with youth, beauty and wit that never dimmed with the years. She was blessed with an old soul's wisdom and understanding combined with an unimaginable generosity of heart and mind. With kind eyes and a ready laugh, she was our best friend and our confidant. Our sweet Mama and a loving wife. She was adored. We will miss you terribly.
