The Okmulgee Lady Bulldogs battled early but were unable to keep up with Hulbert, falling 9-1 on Thursday.
Hulbert took the initial lead with a solo home run by Kenleigh Farmer in the first inning, but Okmulgee quickly responded. Addison Yates delivered an RBI single in the second to tie the game at 1-1.
The Lady Riders broke things open in the bottom of the second, scoring four runs behind a combination of extra-base hits, including a triple by Farmer and doubles from Alli Justice and Haley Rohde.
Hulbert continued to extend its lead in the third, adding two more runs to put the game out of reach.
Yates started in the circle for Okmulgee, pitching four innings while allowing nine runs on 12 hits. Offensively, she led the Lady Bulldogs with a 2-for-2 performance and an RBI. Tiah Harjo also recorded two hits.
Okmulgee showed discipline at the plate, drawing six walks, and played error-free defense. Gairdyn Ellis led the team defensively with four chances.
Hulbert was powered by a strong offensive showing from Farmer, who went 3-for-4 with four RBIs. Justice and Rohde also collected three hits apiece.
The Lady Bulldogs will look to regroup as they continue their season.
