Residents will have an opportunity to hear directly from gubernatorial candidate Chip Keating during an upcoming “Meet Our Candidate” event in Henryetta.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, from 8:30-10 a.m. at Beth-Arabah, located at 416 W. Main Street. Community members are invited to attend, meet Keating and learn more about his vision for Oklahoma.
Keating brings a diverse background in public service and private industry. He previously served as an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper and later as Secretary of Public Safety. In the private sector, he spent more than 20 years in the oil and gas industry, where he worked to promote economic growth and reduce regulatory burdens.
In addition to his professional experience, Keating has been active in community leadership, including serving as chair of the Salvation Army Central Oklahoma Area Command and holding board positions with OU Health and the University Hospitals Authority Trust. He also served as president of the Children’s Hospital Foundation and founded the Oklahoma State Troopers Foundation.
A third-generation Oklahoman, Keating is the son of former Governor Frank Keating and former First Lady Cathy Keating. He and his wife, Brittney, have been married for 20 years and are raising their three children in Oklahoma.
The event offers a casual setting for residents to engage with the candidate and discuss issues impacting the state.
