Henryetta, Wilson shine at Warner

Area athletes delivered strong performances Tuesday at the 27th Annual Warner High School Track Meet, with Henryetta turning in a third-place team finish on the boys side and a third-place showing in the girls standings, while Wilson competitors also recorded multiple top finishes.

The meet, held April 7, featured a deep field of teams from across eastern Oklahoma and showcased both individual standouts and relay strength.

Henryetta’s boys compiled 79 points to place third overall, trailing only Daniel Webster and Gore. Wilson finished 13th with 16 points.

On the girls side, Henryetta placed third with 68 points, while Wilson finished 14th with 12 points.

Henryetta’s boys were fueled by strong relay performances, including a first-place finish in the 4×200 relay (1:35.42) and a first-place finish in the 4×400 relay (3:40.39).

The Knights also added:

• 4×100 Relay – 3rd (45.89)

• 4×800 Relay – 4th (9:54.23) Individually, Henryetta saw several podium finishes: • Gavin Williams – 2nd in 400m (51.22)

• Cadyn Gillispie – 5th in 400m (54.12)

• Mekko McNac – 4th in Shot Put (38-10)

• Lane Lesley – 6th in Shot Put (35-7) The Knights also picked up key points in distance and sprint events, helping secure their top-three finish.

Top performances included:

• 4×800 Relay – 1st (11:11.62)

• Stormi Waquie – 2nd in 800m (2:33.19), 2nd in 1600m (6:05.26)

• Ashlynn Fulton – 4th in 3200m (15:51.05)

• Wynter Campbell-Bevenue – 5th in 3200m (16:29.73) In field events:

• Keegan Hamric – 2nd in Shot Put (34-9), 2nd in Discus (94-4) Additional contributions came from:

• Camrynn Watkins – 5th in 400m (1:06.12)

• Aubrey Taylor – 10th in 200m (29.91)

• Peyton Wind – 7th in 1600m — Wilson athletes make impact

Wilson competitors turned in several notable performances, particularly in hurdles and sprint events.

Leading the way:

• Reese Herring – 3rd in 100m hurdles (17.89), 3rd in 300m hurdles (51.22)

• Boys 4×100 Relay – 4th (47.01) Other highlights:

• Rylan Chase Hicks – 4th in 300m hurdles (48.15)

• Alec Ganote – 7th in 200m (25.29), 7th in 400m (56.83)

• Esiah King – 5th in Long Jump (18-6)

• Aiden Barnard – 5th in High Jump (5-4) Wilson athletes consistently placed in scoring positions, contributing to the team’s 16-point finish.

– Daniel Webster captured the boys team title with 116 points, while Warner claimed the girls championship with 95 points.
