Green Country Technology Center (GCTC) is proud to announce its Teacher of the Year and Support Staff of the Year honorees ahead of a districtwide banquet – celebrating their achievements. The banquet will be held Wednesday, April 15, at GCTC, and will welcome representatives from all GCTC sending schools across the district.
This year’s honorees are Mr. Stephen Morgan – HVAC Instructor, named Teacher of the Year, and Mr. George Dunlap – Custodian, named Support Staff of the Year. Both individuals have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the students, staff and mission of Green Country Technology Center and are recognized by their peers as outstanding examples of excellence in their respective roles.
The annual banquet brings together administrators, faculty, staff and representatives from Beggs, Preston, Okmulgee, The Academy of Okmulgee, Morris, Dewar, Schulter, Wilson and Henryetta, to celebrate the educators and support professionals who make a meaningful difference in the lives of students every day.
“Recognizing our Teacher of the Year and Support Staff of the Year is one of the highlights of our year,” Anthony Nieto, GCTC Marketing & Communications Coordinator, said. “Mr. Morgan and Mr. Dunlap represent the very best of what we do here – and that kind of dedication deserves to be celebrated.”
Superintendent Mr. Roger King echoed that sentiment, emphasizing the importance of honoring those who contribute to GCTC’s continued success.
“The quality of our programs starts with the quality of our people,” said Mr. King. “Mr. Morgan and Mr. Dunlap are shining examples of the standard of excellence we hold at Green Country Technology Center. It is my honor to recognize them in front of the entire district.”
The banquet on April 15 will serve as a formal celebration of both honorees and sending school districts, bringing the GCTC community together to recognize the contributions of its most dedicated professionals.
