A special afternoon of worship, fellowship and celebration is planned, as First Baptist Church Central honors Pastor Darren Williams during his third pastoral anniversary.
The event will take place Sunday, April 12, at 3:30 p.m. at the church, located at 521 N. Central Ave. in Okmulgee. Church members, community residents and visitors are invited to attend the celebration, which will recognize Pastor Williams’ leadership and service over the past three years.
The anniversary theme, “Able Minister of New Testament,” is drawn from II Corinthians 3:56, reflecting the spiritual focus of the service and the church’s commitment to ministry and growth under Williams’ guidance.
Special guests for the occasion will include Pastor Eugene Jenkins and members of Redeemed Baptist Church of Oklahoma City, who will join the congregation for the afternoon program.
Organizers note that a fellowship meal will also be served, offering attendees an opportunity to gather, connect and celebrate together following the service.
The anniversary event serves as both a milestone for Pastor Williams and a time for the congregation to reflect on the progress and unity experienced during his tenure. Community members are encouraged to attend and take part in the celebration.
