The Henryetta Knights delivered one of their most complete performances of the season Monday, erupting for seven runs in the second inning on their way to a dominant 12-0 victory over Okmulgee.
Henryetta set the tone early, scoring four runs in the first inning with contributions from Hunter Bowdler, Blaze Hill and others, aided by an Okmulgee error.
The game broke wide open in the second inning as the Knights capitalized on patience at the plate and aggressive baserunning. Bowdler, Boston Morris and Haiden Kaler each contributed RBIs, while multiple walks and an error helped fuel the seven-run outburst. Kaler earned the win on the mound, delivering two scoreless innings while striking out five and allowing just one hit. James Joslin added a strong relief appearance, tossing a scoreless inning with three strikeouts.
Bowdler led the offense with two RBIs on a perfect 2-for-2 performance. The Knights were aggressive on the basepaths, stealing 10 bases, with EJ Glover, Will Perez, Morris and Bowdler each swiping multiple bags.
Henryetta also demonstrated discipline at the plate, drawing eight walks, while playing clean defense with no errors. Perez led the defensive effort with eight chances in the field.
Jeremiah Cobb recorded the lone hit for Okmulgee.
The Knights looked to carry the momentum into Tuesday’s matchup at home against Wilson.
