As Christians around the world prepare for the most sacred week of the church year, Trinity Lutheran Church is inviting the community to take part in Palm Sunday and Holy Week services that reflect both tradition and deep spiritual meaning.
Palm Sunday, set for March 29, marks the beginning of Holy Week – the final days leading up to Easter. The day commemorates Jesus Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem, where crowds welcomed Him with palm branches and shouts of praise.
At Trinity Lutheran Church, the day will begin with Sunday School and Bible Class at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Palm Sunday Divine Service at 10:45 a.m., according to the church’s posted schedule.
For Trinity Lutheran, Palm Sunday is not just a single observance, but the doorway into a week of reflection and remembrance. Holy Week continues with Maundy Thursday services, which commemorate the Last Supper, and culminates with Easter Sunday, celebrating the resurrection of Christ.
Trinity Lutheran Church is located at 1314 E. 6th St. in Okmulgee.
