Despite flashes of offensive production, the Henryetta Lady Knights were unable to keep pace with a high-powered Haskell lineup, falling 19-4 on Tuesday.
Haskell set the tone early, scoring in the first inning before erupting for nine runs in the second. A series of RBI singles fueled the surge, as the Lady Haymakers capitalized on consistent contact and timely hitting to build a commanding lead.
Henryetta responded in the top of the third inning with its best offensive frame of the game. Ailanee Hicks delivered a three-run home run to left field, providing a spark for the Lady Knights. Lexi Greenhaw followed with an RBI single, cutting the deficit to 10-4.
However, Haskell answered emphatically in the bottom of the third, scoring nine more runs on eight hits. Cheyanna Morgan launched a solo home run, and multiple players contributed RBIs in another explosive inning that sealed the outcome.
Hicks and Serenity Rex led Henryetta offensively, each collecting two hits. Hicks also drove in three runs in a standout performance from the middle of the lineup.
In the circle, Keegan Hamric took the loss after facing a relentless Haskell offense that tallied 20 hits in the contest.
Haskell’s balanced attack featured multiple standout performers, with Morgan, Josie Enkey and Piper Knight each recording three hits. Several players drove in two runs, underscoring the depth of the Lady Haymakers lineup.
While the final score was lopsided, Henryetta showed resilience with its third-inning rally and will look to build on that momentum moving forward.
