It was the Okmulgee Cemetery’s lucky day Tuesday, as donations were received from two businesses that provided much-needed assistance. Stewart Martin Kubota donated a Kubota zero-turn mower along with a couple of STIHL weed eaters to help the Okmulgee Cemetery team continue their important work of keeping the grounds maintained with care and respect. Above, owner Joey Newton was honored to present the equipment, joined by General Manager Alex Robles and Okmulgee Store Manager Cole Wells, alongside members of the cemetery board. Below, East Central Electric representative Katherine Russell presented a generous grant to help the Okmulgee Cemetery digitize over 20,000 plot owners. Cemetery Board members present included President Karen Mabrey, Vice President and Treasurer Bruce Mabrey, Secretary Bobbi Crabtree, Cemetery Superintendent Mark McDade and board members Carol Smith, Gwen Smith, Carol Doke and Gilbert York. The board and staff are very thankful for the assistance and support from all.
