Walter L. Lawrence

July 26, 1951 – March 10, 2026

Walter Leoan “Leon” Lawrence was born on July 26, 1951, to Willie Lee Lawrence and Gloria Smith Lawrence in Okmulgee. Leon grew up surrounded by family, community and faith.

A homegoing service is scheduled Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Baptist Church, 1001 E. Chicago Street in Okmulgee, with Pastor McKinley Rice delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Bald Hill Cemetery in Okmulgee.

Arrangements are under the direction of House of Winn Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
