Judith ‘Judy’ Mariner Lewis

Judith (Mariner) Lewis, a long-time Okmulgee resident, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in Owasso.

Judy was born November 16, 1937, in Okmulgee to the late H.E. and Dorothy (Davis) Johns. She graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1956, and then attended the University of Oklahoma. She married George W. Mariner in 1967 at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Okmulgee.

Judy was employed by Citizens Bank and East Central Electric. She also worked with her husband and father at their accounting office. She had been an active member of the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, Okmulgee Service League, Okmulgee Country Club and Okmulgee Elks Lodge. She was a very talented painter and enjoyed being a part of the Okmulgee Follies, where she did the art work for the backdrops. Although she was not one for playing games or competition, Judy loved playing Bridge with her friends. She was a loyal supporter of the Okmulgee County Humane Society and loved her dogs.

November 16, 1937 – March 10, 2026

Judy was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Survivors include her daughter, Beth Langlinais and husband Dennis; granddaughters, Lori Langlinais, Mandy Bennett and husband Chris and Jennifer Byrne and husband Nick; and great grandchildren, Jacob Bennett, Braden Bennett, Paige Byrne and Logan Byrne.

A private family committal service will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Okmulgee County Humane Society or the Wild Heart Ranch in Foyil.
