Martha Charlena Dunlap, 92, of Beggs, passed away on March 7, 2026, at 7 a.m. She was born in Hamilton on December 23, 1933, to parents Lovena and Nealy Minyard.
After graduating from Bryant High School, Charlena went on to acquire her B.S. in Education and Masters in Education from Northeastern State University in 1974. She taught early

education for 10 years before going on to work for the Creek Nation as an Administrative Clerk.
Charlena was preceded in death by her sister Lou Joe, brothers, Tony, Jerry and Tommy and her parents, and is survived by her sister, Sue Allen, husband, Bill Dunlap and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Her viewing will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 12-5 p.m. at McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Beggs, and a graveside service will be held at Salem Cemetery on Monday, March 16, at 10 a.m.
