Community Garden to hold workday

Community Garden to hold workday

The Okmulgee County Community Garden is planning a workday this Saturday, Feb. 28, for garden members and friends. The workday will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and lunch will be provided.

According to Executive Director Bob Seebeck, the garden’s expansion is in full swing, and there are several areas in need of attention. Projects include working in the greenhouse, filling and replanting the herb bed, moving materials and equipment, tilling and planting designated areas, preparing the community food plot, greenhouse potting propagation, cleaning the resource center, setting landscape rock and bridge deck construction, among other areas.

“There are a lot of improvements taking place in the garden right now, but we always have smaller projects needing attention,” Seebeck said. “We encourage members to come spend some time with other members and lend a hand.”

For questions or additional information, please call Seebeck at 918-231-3543.
