Clyde Hunt, husband, father, papa and friend, passed from this life on February 4, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Clyde loved the Lord and when he took his last breath no doubt he was heaven bound.

Clyde was born in Danville, Ark. to Coy and Cleo Hunt. Clyde attended North Eastern University and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Education. He taught one year in a mutli-classroom in Magazine, Ark. He came to Morris and taught 4th and 5th grade math and science at Morris Elementary for 23 years retiring in 2003.

Clyde married Sharon (Skadal) O’Neil on Friday, April 13, 1990. He sang with quartets across Oklahoma. He February 4, 2026

had a beautiful bass voice and blessed you each time he sang.

Proceeding Clyde in death are his son Michael Nelson, sister Carol Vandusen, granddaughter Kaeleigh Jane and his parents.

Those cherishing his memory are his wife Sharon Hunt and granddaughter Kaiden Hunt of the home, Jerry Nelson (Jeri), David Nelson (Kellie), Karen Hughes (Keith), Sky Hunt (Dennis), Susanna Hunt (Anthony), Rachelle Hunt, Dannaka Hunt (Brad), Eric Vandusen (Mara) and Lisa Grey (Bobbie), a sister, Ann Nenus, 21 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church in Morris on Friday February 13, at 2 p.m.
