Members from Lincoln, Okfuskee and Okmulgee counties came together Jan. 15 at the new Lincoln County Extension building in Chandler for an OHCE Tri-County Community Lessons workshop focused on practical, everyday topics. Participants learned about One Bowl Meals, What’s New in Taxes and Cutting the Clutter Get Organized & Important Documents to Keep, with lessons led by Jill Gibbons, Family and Consumer Sciences Educator in Okmulgee County, and Cody Linker, Agricultural Educator in Lincoln County. The session also included a hands-on group activity as members worked together to prepare lunch using the “Sweet Chili Chicken Bowl” recipe, with information designed to be taken back and shared with local OHCE clubs.
