4-H Youth Development Educators recently joined the OC Sharks at one of their meetings at First Baptist Church to help the group prepare for the upcoming Cupcake Wars set for Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall. During the fun and interactive evening, youth learned cupcake decorating techniques with guidance from Jill Gibbons, Extension Family and Consumer Sciences Educator. The hands-on lesson not only helped participants sharpen their skills for the competition, but also gave them an opportunity to give back to the community, with the decorated cupcakes donated to the local homeless shelter.
