The Morris Police Department (MPD) continues to serve as a vital part of the community, providing law enforcement services focused on safety, professionalism and public trust for the City of Morris and surrounding areas.
The department is led by Chief Kenny Boyd, who joined the Morris Police Department in May 2021. Boyd was appointed interim chief in July 2024 before being officially promoted to chief later that year. Since taking on the leadership role, Boyd has emphasized strengthening department resources and maintaining a strong relationship with the community.
The Morris Police Department is staffed by a team of four full-time officers along with five part-time and reserve officers who assist in daily operations and coverage.
