The mission of the Henryetta Police Department (HPD) is to provide an atmosphere which allows the citizens and visitors of the City of Henryetta to go about their daily business relatively free of fear of harm to themselves and their property, with education when possible and enforcement when necessary.
The primary goal of the HPD is to utilize new and innovative methods and technology to fight crime and improve domestic security.
The Henryetta Police Department also operates the southern Okmulgee County E911 center, which is equipped with the latest technology available.
The department has a 12hour holding facility used to house a capacity of five municipal prisoners.
The HPD also manages the Animal Control Officer (ACO), which is responsible for the catching, trapping and care of loose or vicious animals. The ACO is on duty from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and can be requested after hours if required.
