Mary Jo Heard-Rose

June 20, 1936 – January 6, 2026

Mary Jo Rose, 89, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in Tulsa. She was born Saturday, June 20, 1936, to Will Rasey and Katie (Dixon) Rasey in Sallisaw.

Mary was married to Gerald W. Heard, who preceded her in death October 17, 1988. She was a waitress and mother. Children include Connie Solomon, Mike Lillich, Tommy Strickland and Bobbie Edwards (deceased). She also has six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A graveside memorial service will be held January 17, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Liberty Cemetery in Greenwood, Ark. Tommy Strickland will officiate.
