Lady Dragons, Bulldogs Succed at Tournaments

Several Okmulgee County teams enjoyed success at recent basketball tournaments. Pictured above, the Dewar Lady Dragons finished third at the Arkansas River Shootout in Webbers Falls. The Lady Dragons started strong with a 51-21 win over Keota, before falling to Cave Springs 58-51 in the second round. Dewar went on to defeat the host team Webbers Falls 63-44 to claim the consolation prize. Pictured below, the Okmulgee Bulldogs were crowned consolation champions at the Mike Kerr Classic in Morrison. The Bulldogs fell to Pawhuska in a close 41-38 opener, but went on to win the next two games against Spartan Stillwater and Pawnee, placing third overall. Head Coach Cordell Love and the Okmulgee Bulldogs currently sit at 3-7 on the season.
