The Preston Pirates and Lady Pirates are currently in Stroud competing in the Stroud Tiger 66 Coliseum Classic Basketball Tournament, which began Thursday and continues through Saturday, at the Tiger 66 Coliseum.
The multi-day tournament features a full slate of area programs and includes both championship and consolation brackets for boys and girls. Preston is joined in the field by teams such as Stroud, Bristow, Perkins, Webster, Haskell, Crooked Oak and CHA.
The Lady Pirates opened tournament play Thursday evening in first-round action against Crooked Oak. If they win, Preston will advance to the semi- finals Friday at 4:20 p.m. The championship game will take place Saturday at 6:20 p.m.
If Preston falls in the opening round, the Lady Pirates will play in a consolation game Friday at 1:40 p.m. The consolation final will take place Saturday at 1 p.m.
A third-place game is scheduled for Saturday at 10:40 p.m., depending on bracket results.
Meanwhile, the Pirates tipped off tournament play earlier in the day Thursday against CHA. With a firstround win, the Pirates would advance to Friday’s semifinals Friday night at 8:20 p.m. The championship game is set for Saturday at 7:40 p.m.
If Preston drops its opening game, the Pirates will move into the consolation side Friday at 12:20 p.m. The consolation final is Saturday at 2:20 p.m.
The boys third-place game is scheduled for Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
Admission to the Stroud Tiger 66 Coliseum Classic is $5 for adults and $3 for students.
