The community is invited to come together for a special fundraising dinner on Sunday, Jan. 18, in support of a local youth running for Homecoming Queen at the University of Central Oklahoma.
The dinner will be held from 1-3 p.m. at Greater Jones Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, located at 1226 E. Smith Street in Okmulgee. Tickets are $20 per plate, with proceeds benefiting the candidate’s campaign.
Attendees will enjoy a full meal featuring baked chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, sweet peas, a dinner roll, six-flavored pound cake and a soft drink. According to organizers, the event is designed not only as a fundraiser, but also as an opportunity for fellowship and community encouragement.
