Henryetta set to host basketball tournament Jan. 8-10

The 2026 Henryetta Invitational Basketball Tournament, welcoming eight boys teams and eight girls teams for three days of competitive action, will be held Thursday through Saturday, Jan. 8-10. The annual tournament will feature full brackets for both divisions, including championship, consolation, third-place and seventh-place games.

— Boys Tournament Bracket

The boys division will open Thursday morning with host Henryetta taking center stage against McLoud at 11:20 a.m., setting the tone for the tournament. Later that afternoon, Valliant will face Metro Christian at 2 p.m.

The evening session will feature Beggs squaring off against Okemah at 4:40 p.m., followed by a nightcap between Sallisaw and Checotah at 7:20 p.m.

Winners will advance to Friday’s semifinals, with the top-half semifinal scheduled for 11:20 a.m. and the bottom-half semifinal set for 2 p.m. The championship bracket will continue Friday evening, culminating in the boys championship game on Saturday night at 7:20 p.m.

Consolation play will also be active throughout the tournament. The boys consolation game is scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m., while the seventh-place game will be played Saturday at 11:20 a.m. The third-place game is set for Saturday at 4:40 p.m.

— Girls Tournament Bracket

Girls tournament action will begin Thursday morning with McLoud facing Beggs at 10 a.m. The second matchup of the day will feature Metro Christian against Valliant at 12:40 p.m.

Later Thursday, Henryetta will take on Okemah at 3:20 p.m., followed by an evening matchup between Sallisaw and Checotah at 6 p.m.

Friday’s semifinal round will include games at 10 a.m. and 12:40 p.m., with winners advancing to the championship side of the bracket. The girls championship game is scheduled for Saturday at 6 p.m.

Additional placement games round out the schedule, including the girls consolation game Saturday at 12:40 p.m., the seventh-place game Saturday at 10 a.m., and the third-place game Saturday at 3:20 p.m.

— A Full Weekend of Basketball With programs from McLoud, Beggs, Metro Christian, Valliant, Sallisaw, Checotah, Okemah and Henryetta competing, the 2026 Henryetta Invitational promises three full days of high-level basketball, packed gymnasiums and nonstop action from morning to night.

The tournament offers an early-January measuring stick for teams as they navigate the heart of the basketball season, while also providing Henryetta fans the opportunity to see both Knight squads compete at home against quality opponents.

Tip-off begins Thursday morning and runs through championship night on Saturday, making Henryetta the place to be for basketball fans across the region.
