The Okmulgee Bulldogs made a powerful statement across 2A-1, District 3, as four Bulldogs were recognized with some of the district’s highest individual football honors for the 2025 season.
Leading the way up front, Rayden Dodds was named 2A-1, District 3 Co-Offensive Tackle of the Year, an honor that reflects the physical presence and consistency he brought to the Bulldogs’ offensive line. Anchoring the line, Dodds played a critical role in protecting the quarterback and opening running lanes, setting the tone for Okmulgee’s offensive attack week after week.
In the defensive backfield, Kingston Butler earned recognition as 2025 2A-1, District 3 Co-Safety of the Year, a testament to his ability to read offenses, deliver big stops and provide leadership on the back end of the Bulldogs’ defense. Butler’s performance throughout the season helped solidify Okmulgee’s secondary and made him one of the most reliable defenders in the district.
Another Bulldog was honored in the trenches as Preston Powell was named 2025 2A-1, District 3 Co-Offensive Guard of the Year. Powell’s strength and technique were key components of an offensive line that consistently controlled the line of scrimmage. His recognition highlights the Bulldogs’ dominance up front and the importance of the offensive line to the team’s overall success.
Rounding out the district award winners was Javon Lang, who was selected as 2025 2A-1, District 3 Co-Running Back of the Year. Lang’s explosive runs and physical style made him a constant threat with the football in his hands. His honor reflects not only his individual production, but also the balanced offensive approach that kept defenses on edge throughout the season.
Collectively, these honors underline the strength of the Okmulgee football program and the impact its athletes had across the district, under Coach Dolphin Davis in his first year at the helm. With awards spanning offensive line, skill positions and defense, the Bulldogs demonstrated excellence at every level of the game.
